Fergus Knox

<p></p>Fergus completed his RIBA Parts I & II at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, in 2016, graduating with a First-Class BSc (Hons) degree and a Distinction in his Diploma. During his time at the Bartlett, he received several accolades, including the Fitzroy Robinson Drawing Prize, the Design Realisation Prize, and the Bartlett Medal. He was also nominated for the RIBA Bronze Medal and the Technology Making Building Prize. Fergus now teaches first-year students at the Bartlett, sharing his knowledge and expertise with those beginning their journey in architecture.<br><br>Between 2012 and 2014, Fergus gained professional experience at Wilkinson Eyre in London and Olson Kundig in Seattle. At Olson Kundig, he worked on notable projects such as Seattle’s Space Needle, the Burke Museum of Natural History, and a mountain retreat in Rio de Janeiro, developing a broad skill set across diverse sectors and scales.<br><br>Since joining Knox Bhavan full-time in 2016, Fergus has been instrumental in delivering award-winning projects, including KBA Studio, March House, and The Little Big House. The Little Big House—a new-build home celebrated for its energy efficiency and inclusive design tailored to a client with specific physical needs—earned him the 2024 RIBA East Project Architect of the Year Award and a nomination for the Stephen Lawrence Prize. Locally, he is currently working on a music studio and a Community Arts Facility in Peckham, contributing to creative and community-focused spaces.<p></p> <p></p>
